She was also a part of the acclaimed TV show “House Of The Dragon.” Her silent short film “Mourning Coffee” wins the best silent film in the main category of the Elegant International Film Festival.
Overview
The film starts with a mother (Denise Mack) who wakes up and goes to the kitchen to pour herself a cup of hot coffee. But she finds out that there is no coffee left. Later she went to the grocery store for the groceries but forgot to bring the coffee. Every time she wakes up and goes to make coffee she finds the empty jar of coffee. But she always forgets to bring that one thing.
On the other hand, his one and only son is about to go abroad for a better life. The mother finds it really difficult to accept the fact that his beloved son will leave her. She keeps reminiscing about the happy moments with her son from his childhood till his adulthood. Denise Mack even shared some of the lovely pictures of her son to add another emotional layer which works perfectly.
But at the end the mother accepts the truth and hands over the passport to his son and bids him goodbye with a sweet goodbye kiss. Back in the home she finds out that her son left her a container full of coffee. The same coffee which she always used to forget to bring. There is also a note that says “I Love You Mom” with a big heart.

Denise Mack wonderfully showcases the pain of a mother whose son is going abroad to pursue his life. There are many emotional scenes to which everyone can resonate. Every scene blends perfectly with the masterful acting by the veteran actor. Denise Mack excels in the shoes of the mother. Her every emotional scene is top notch.
English pop singer Calum Scott performed soulful song “You Are The Reason” as the background music in the film. This song adds another layer of emotion to the narrative.
