Brent Heise is a writer, director and animator artist who has garnered immense love and appreciation for all his work. During his freshman year at the American University in Washington D.C, he made a supernatural-themed short film which received top billing at the Media Festival. From this part his filmmaking journey began.
He won the “Best of the Northwest Judges Choice” from the Alliance for Community Media for his indie feature film “Twilight Man.” The director trained himself in shooting and editing advertisements, documentaries and animations. He even worked under the guidance of Chel White, who is also a known face in the independent filmmaking circuit. Brent Heise also worked in the David Oyelowo directed adventure thriller “The Water Man.”

The music video takes the viewers to an emotional journey of love through the beautiful nature. The narrative unfolds when a lonely man (Eric Schopmeyer) is venturing into the woods with a wooden case. He encounters an owl which turns into a mystical woman (Theresa Hanson). The man stops near a fallen tree and opens the wooden case. It reveals that there is an old fashioned turntable. The man takes out an old vinyl record and carefully places it on the turntable. The song starts playing.
What happens next is some eye soothing scenes where the man and the woman engage in a mystical dance. As the man chases her through the corridor of a big house, the girl mysteriously disappears and appears. As if the girl is wanting the man to catch her. But she is playing with him.
But suddenly the vision merges with reality and we are back in the deserted woods. As the man starts venturing again with no one beside him, the girl appears. But she keeps standing far away and sees the man going away. Tears powering from her beautiful eyes.
Review
The visuals are extraordinary with every sequence that looks like a dream. The aesthetics of every scene are great. The cinematography by Bill Ward is one of the highlights of the video. He wonderfully balances the lush greenery with the dreamlike sequences. The editing of the film is also great with some cuts done amazingly. The actors have also done a delicious job of portraying their characters. Theresa Hanson nails in the character of the beautiful and mystical woman.
The main protagonist of the video is the music performed by Joe Triplett, Tom Guernsey, Mike Griffin and Bob Berberich. The song is very ear soothing and goes perfect with the dreamscape visuals.
